Terms of service

Last updated: 19 October 2026

This document is a template under legal review and may change before launch. If you have questions, contact us using the details below.

These terms form an agreement between you and TutorAura when you use tutoraura.com and the TutorAura app (the “Service”). By creating an account you agree to them. If you are using TutorAura with a parent or guardian's consent, they agree to these terms on your behalf.

1. Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us about any unauthorised use. One account is for one person. Please give accurate information.

2. Free trial

New accounts get a 3-day free trial with limited AI usage. No payment details are needed. When the trial ends, your history and saved work stay available to view, and paid features (such as new practice and AI requests) need a subscription. One trial per person.

3. Subscriptions and payment

  • The subscription costs $15 per month in USD, plus any taxes that apply. It renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Whether card payments are available depends on your country and card issuer.
  • You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
  • Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable for partial periods. This does not affect your statutory rights, including any cooling-off rights that apply to you.
  • If we change the price, we'll tell you in advance, and the change will apply from your next billing period.

4. AI features

The AI tutor and AI-generated questions are provided to help you learn. AI output can be incorrect or incomplete, and you should check important answers against your teacher, textbook or official exam board materials. Fair-use limits apply to AI requests and are shown in your account.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not misuse the Service, try to access other users' data, probe or overload our systems, or get around usage limits.
  • Do not use TutorAura to cheat in assessed work where that breaks the rules of your school or exam board.
  • Do not upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content.

6. Your content

You own the work you create, such as whiteboards and messages. You give us permission to store and process it in order to provide the Service to you, including sending it to AI providers when you request AI feedback.

7. Our content and trademarks

Lessons, questions, software and branding are owned by TutorAura or its licensors. TutorAura is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the College Board, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, Pearson, AQA, OCR, WJEC Eduqas or any other exam board. Names of exams are used only to describe what our content helps you study.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep TutorAura available and accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features and will give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect paid subscribers.

9. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first.

10. Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including consumer protection laws in your country.

11. Governing law

The governing law and venue for disputes will be stated here once TutorAura's operating entity is finalised. Consumers keep the protections of the law of the country where they live.

12. Contact
